Aiming to spark a culture of civic participation rooted in respect for human rights, En Primera Persona sets out to open a space for symbolic justice and to keep alive the memory of violence in Mexico.
Born over two years ago, the project brought together researchers, human rights advocates, and journalists with a playwright, stage director, actors, and theater professionals. Together, they’ve worked to amplify the voices of victims, their families, and the collectives who fight to keep their stories present.
Its mission: to reshape the narrative around victims of violence in Mexico and weave a shared memory that inspires a collective path toward peace.
